Family Physics Singalong - Jetstream (All Ages)

Musical theatre and science collide in our free family workshop hosted by STEM musical theatre writers Helen Arney, Brian Mackenwells and Jenni Pinnock.

Sing your heart out to well-known tunes with a twist led by the team behind The Cambridge First All-Ladies Fire Brigade, a new musical about physicist Hertha Ayrton, celebrating 150 years since she started studying science.

After getting to know our guest physicist and learning about the work they do, we’ll create a new song about it together – and learn a fun, fiery song from the show.

Marvellous Mocktails - Jetstream (All Ages)

Expect demos, taste tests and fascinating science facts all about magnificent mocktails with Mark Miodownik.

Discover what makes drinks fizz, pop and bang, when they should be shaken or stirred, and how to make your own marvellous mocktails at home.

The question is, what mocktail will you make first?

A STEM Musical: The Cambridge First All-Ladies Fire Brigade - Jetstream (All Ages)

Helen Arney, Brian Mackenwells and Jenni Pinnock star in this blazing concert inspired by real-life STEM pioneers.

This fiery new musical follows the story of five trailblazing women, all studying science at 1880s Girton College, Cambridge: physicist Hertha Ayrton, astronomer Annie Maunder, botanist Ethel Sargant, mathematician Charlotte Scott and chemist Ida Freund.

As this unlikely crew fights fires of every kind, they realise they’re part of a bigger battle: for the right to equal education, to work, and to vote. Even if it means starting a few fires themselves…
